Ms. Makaia Gatson is the owner and director of Graceful Soles Dance Studio, as well as an instructor. She has been dancing and performing since the age of seven.

Makaia’s dance training includes ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and African. Her love for teaching dance, especially children, started over fifteen years ago.

Makaia’s teaching experience includes working with children of all ages in a performing arts school, preschools, private dance studios, after school programs, recreation centers, summer camps, and churches. She also enjoys teaching adult dance classes.

Her formal education  includes a B.S. degree in Business Administration, and three summer intensives at Dance Masters of America Teacher Training Program in Buffalo, NY.
